Two-table slitter with automatic sheet feeder that cuts tinplate sheets up to 1200 x 1170 mm into can-body blanks at 10 to 40 sheets per minute. First station of a three-piece body line.
The CD 549 is the first machine on a Cevolani three-piece line. It takes coated and printed tinplate sheets from the pallet, separates them, squares them and cuts them into body blanks on two tables driven by separate in-phase motors.
Sheets are lifted by four suction cups and magnets, fed into the first table through a linear inlet that avoids scratches, and cut into strips; the second table cuts the strips into blanks that feed the welder magazine. Double sheets are ejected automatically without stopping the machine.
