The CBW series is the side-seam welder of a Cevolani three-piece line. The CBW 2280 holds full welding speed on short bodies down to 50 mm and runs tinplate from 0.10 mm; the CBW 530 covers large diameters up to 189 mm.

What it does on the line

Blanks arrive from the slitter into an automatically loaded magazine, are rounded in an adjustable calender, fed to the welding rollers with a positive positioning system and welded with copper wire. The WMC 573 monitor measures every weld point and the ejection system removes faulty bodies between the welder and the oven.

• Dedicated closed-circuit cooling; welding arm with mercury-free rollers.
• Static frequency converter: sinusoidal or square-wave welding forms, low energy consumption, simple set-up.
• WMC 573 monitor measures, analyzes and displays each weld point on every can; faulty cans ejected before the oven.
