The PDV 394 and PD 394 stamp ends from the scrolled strips delivered by the shear. The frame is a single casting, the flywheel rests on the base rather than on the crankshaft, and the ram runs in prismatic gibs, all aimed at die alignment and mechanical stability.

What it does on the line

Strips are fed automatically from the scroll shear by a magnetic system into a large-capacity hopper, checked by a double-strip detector, and stamped with one or two dies per stroke. Suction cup, scrap ejector and feeders are phased electronically by encoder; the clutch and brake unit is pneumatic.
