Stacker cranes are designed for the automation of entry/exit operations within material storage activities. They move along the racking aisles to position or extract the load units (pallets). The handling system moves the load units from the picking bays, places them in the storage cells and vice versa.
The main advantages of using stacker cranes within a storage system are control and a fast and precise warehouse update, which facilitate the inventory system, the elimination of manual errors, the possibility of adapting to special working conditions (temperature -30°, high humidity).
System Logistics produces multiple versions of stacker cranes, which can be configured according to the following characteristics: type and capacity of the loading unit, height up to 40 m, variable number of columns, horizontal speed up to 4 m/s, lifting devices loading with single or double depth telescopic forks, multi-depth satellite vehicles, variable temperature (ambient temperature, controlled temperature or cold storage).
