In August 2017, Robopac technicians completed the installation and commissioning process of the Genesis wrapping machine, equipped with the most advanced Cube technology and the Rconnect system at the Dow Chemical Ibérica plant in Tarragona.

“With the installation of Robopac’s Genesis wrapper, the first step of a project for the implementation of a transportation simulation laboratory was carried out,” said Mr. Juan Ruiz, Project Director.
«A simulator that will help us detect key data not only for our clients, reducing costs, but for the entire community, limiting land, air and sea accidents, minimizing the loss of valuable goods during transportation and, last but not least, even helping the environment with the best optimization in the use of packaging material.
The latest generation Genesis stretch film wrapping machine is equipped with pre-stretch carriage with two servo motors that allow variation of the pre-stretch ratio up to 400% and control of film tension in different parts of the load during the wrapping cycle.
«We need a wrapping machine dedicated exclusively to research, development and innovation. Thanks to the wide variety of materials, qualities and thicknesses of our tests, the versatility in terms of pre-stretching, containment force, film tension, etc. “It was fundamental and the Cube technology meets all these requirements,” said the Dow Chemical project manager.
