Plzensky Prazdroj is the best-known beer producer in the Czech Republic.
Owned by Sab Miller, a major drinks industry group, acquired in 2016 by ABInBev – it was recently sold to Japanese giant Asahi.
Plzensky Prazdroj is another leading company that has chosen Robopac to modernize its packaging systems in the different manufacturing plants in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, with the aim of improving production processes by increasing the traceability of its products, optimizing stability and reducing the cost of packaging materials with high productivity.
An exciting challenge to which Robopac responded by creating a team dedicated to customizing the solution to improve customer satisfaction. The working group has started its intense Research and Development on different packaging recipes.
In fact, Plzensky Prazdroj managers have used the services of Robopac’s innovative TechLab, testing the best packaging solutions on their products and certifying their stability and considerably lower film consumption.
Specifically, theRobobandmachines were supplied to the Kegs lines in the different plants of the group for the application of a stretch film band with a patented integrated labeling system to guarantee product traceability and the automatic rotary wrappers of the Genesis range with high production capacity. The use of Genesis has allowed us to optimize packaging cycles, guaranteeing maximum flexibility and reliability in achieving high safety standards, as well as a significant reduction in TCO (total cost of ownership). The latest Genesis Cube supplied was implemented with the Nip&Tuck device for pinching, cutting and threading the film without a sealant, which guarantees the total absence of “tails”: the last tail of the wrapping film is inserted into the wrapping itself, thus avoiding the use of a hot plate sealer.
