Acqua Cerelia, the historic Bologna-based brand and market leader in the production of mineral water, has chosen Dimac and Robopac Systems to modernize its end-of-line.
The company plays a central role in the collective image of Bologna, but, in addition to being a symbol of the region, thanks to the high quality and healthy properties of its water, it has followers all over the world. “My family,” says Ernesto Rinaldi (manager of Acqua Cerelia), has been in charge of the company since 1970 and after only 4 years we opened a new plant, which moved from the original line (approximately 3,000 glass bottles per hour) to a line capable of producing 12,000 bottles per hour. In fact, the company has always focused on cutting-edge technologies, using 100% Italian technology. Together with Dimac, Acqua Cerelia has decided to go ahead with an important evolution at the end of the line, introducing the wrapping machine with the aim of making an aesthetic and practical leap in terms of quality (production savings, greater load stability, fewer transport problems). Dimac has therefore provided a newly designed Starmaster F2 shrink film wrapping machine (for PET and glass bottles) and a Starwrap 4.0 cartoner machine. Finally, with regard to palletizing, a Helix 3 Evo from Robopac Systems has been purchased; This automatic machine with rotating arm is used for wrapping palletized loads with stretch film and uses the innovative Cube technology.
“We have put all our trust in Aetna Group,” says Rinaldi, “which has shown great commitment to meeting our demands. We did it with great pleasure, not only because we are geographical neighbors, but also because of the validity of the proposed technological solutions.
